PHOTOS: Vint Hill Fall Festival draws estimated 9,000 people

This year’s Vint Hill Fall Festival drew its largest crowd yet, event organizers said.

The third annual Vint Hill Fall Festival, held Sept. 23, featured almost 200 vendors and drew an estimated 9,000 attendees, according to a news release from Vint Hill Village, LLC.

The festival, held along Aiken Drive in Vint Hill, featured activities for all ages, including a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, photo ops with Washington Capitals mascot Slapshot, shopping, food, and live music.

 and the first Family Fun Day in Vint Hill, he festival saw its largest numbers yet with approximately 9,000 attendees and almost 200 businesses participating. Also attached are photos of the event.

This year’s fall festival, held on the historic property and former Army base, expanded to include the Silvermead House, the former private residence of the Army Post Commander, and Lineweaver Drive, where food trucks set up to serve the crowd.

This year’s event also shared the day with the first Family Fun Day at Vint Hill, hosted by Fauquier County Parks and Recreation, event organizers said.

“Our annual Fall Festival continues to spotlight the best of our community,” Ed Moore, president of Vint Hill Village, LLC, said in a statement. “The vendors and performers—many of them from right here in the surrounding area—are top-notch, and record attendance shows that local residents value the event as a community happening. It’s a wonderful way to showcase Vint Hill as a vibrant cultural hub.”
