The Open Book in Warrenton is partnering with Books On The Bus for a free community event featuring New York Times Bestselling Author Kwame Alexander on Wednesday, July 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  

Books on the Bus will begin the event at 9:30 a.m. with books, games and family fun featuring songs with local musician/songwriter, Jerry Hull.  

At 11 a.m. Kwame Alexander will do a presentation with singer-songwriter Randy Preston followed by a question and answer period and a book signing. 

His books will be available for purchase at the event from The Open Book. You can also preorder books from The Open Book prior to the event at a 10 percent discount. 

A free picnic sponsored by The Path Foundation will provide hot dogs and ice cream. 

Sponsors for the event include The Open Book, Books On The Bus, First Baptist Church, Fauquier County Public Library, Town of Warrenton Parks & Recreation, Saint James’ Episcopal School and The PATH Foundation.
