Allegrois launching Words Around the World in partnership with the Christ Church Anglican Basic School located in the Adisadel area, a cape coast town, in the central region in Ghana.

Many educators agree that students often regress during the summer months and purposeful writing helps maintain literary skills. Allegro has organized this event to help slow summer regression and bring an unparalleled educational opportunity to local students.

This opportunity is made possible thanks to Lee Owsley, owner of Latitudes in Warrenton, who introduced Allegro to her Fair Trade contacts who ultimately connected Allegro with the school's headmaster.

This is a free summer activity for the community. Registrants will be paired with a similarly aged child to engage in pen to paper letter writing. Look for events during the summer at Allegro to learn more about Ghana, organized by Krozx Nana Osei-Bonus Jr., a transformational speaker on the topic of youth leadership who today resides in Bealeton, but hails from Ghana himself.

To register a child for this free summer activity, please complete the survey at the following link: (complete one survey for each child). Pairs will be made on a rolling basis as registrations are received.
