Need the advice and information from this column's readers. The next issue of "In Fauquier" magazine for Fall 2014, as published by the Fauquier Times, is slated to contain a profile of Bealeton. There's plenty to write about, such as the Bealeton Village and Liberty Plaza shopping centers, the historic Cedar Grove Cemetery, the annual holiday parade and Christmas tree lighting, the Fauquier County Library, the schools of Grace Miller Elementary, Cedar Lee Middle, and Liberty High, the local flea and farmers markets, its churches, flying circus air shows, restored railroad depot, residential developments, its people, the rolling thunder of truckers and big rig vehicles passing through Route 17 from U.S. Highway 95 on its way to Route 29, etc. Please email your ideas, narratives, and short stories to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). The Remington FCE Homemakers Club will have its next meeting and pot lunch on Wednesday, July 16, beginning at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Parish Hall. The guest speaker will be Leon Williams. Dominion Virginia Power has recently filed an application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity between Remington and Warrenton as a construction project to last about 16 months. This would be a double circuit 230 kV line of about 12 miles on existing right-of-way. The proposed route would begin at the Remington CT Station on Lucky Hill Road in Southern Fauquier crossing Remington Road, Maplewood Drive, Catlett Road and the surrounding subdivisions, Oak Shade Road, Meadowbrooke subdivision, Covington Corner Road, Marsh Road, James Madison Highway, etc. For more information, see online http://www.scc.virginia.gov/case and refer to Case No. PUE-2014-00025.

At the last and recent planning meeting of the Remington Fall Festival, which will be on Oct. 11, 2014 at downtown Remington on East Main Street, now has its own website which was unveiled as http://www.remingtonfallfestival.com Also .the Remington Fire and Rescue Department donated a huge street banner for the festival which will be updated by Piedmont Press and appear on East Main Street for all to view well before the event. The next meeting of the group will be on July 9 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Remington Fire and Rescue facility.
