Thelma Pearl Colvin

Died May 5, 2008

Thelma Pearl Colvin, Amissville resident

Thelma Pearl Colvin, 88, of Amissville, died May 5 at Countryside Assisted Living in Madison, Va. She was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Warrenton to the late Wilbur and Ethel Edwards Bywaters.

At the time of her death, she was the oldest member of the Amissville United Methodist Church, where she had been a member for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Mort Colvin.

Mrs. Colvin is survived by her children, James William Colvin and Erva Lee Stover, both of Amissville, Carol Ann Embrey of Goldvein, and Phyllis Ann Judd and William Mort Colvin, both of Amissville; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Amissville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ned S. Van Dyck, the Rev. M. Peyton Embrey and pastor J. R. Judd. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
