Warrenton man killed in motorcycle crash

Wednesday, Aug. 6 | By Julie Taylor
A Warrenton man, Jason Banton, 36, was killed yesterday in Nokesville.

On August 5, just before 8 a.m., a 2003 Chevrolet 4500 truck proceeded through a four-way intersection after coming to a stop at the sign, according to a press release from the Prince William County Police.

Banton, riding a 2008 Buell XB12XT motorcycle, was headed south on Aden Road. He attempted to stop at the intersection, but collided with the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck had the right-of-way, and was not charged.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our friend. Jason was a good, hardworking man who honorably served in this country’s military.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.
