Warrenton crime log for September
The Warrenton Police Department released its report for September 2013.
Town police took 1,757 calls for service. Of those, 995 came from dispatchers and 672 were "self-initiated."
They dealt with 46 vehicle accidents, 24 of which involved no injury or under $1,500 in damage to private property.
They issued 267 summons for traffic enforcement, wrote 105 parking citations and issued 94 written warnings.
They made 14 criminal arrests, 13 for misdemeanors and one for a felony charge.
They reported two cases of assault, five cases of burglary, seven cases of larceny, one case of forgery and counterfeiting, four cases of fraud, one case of embezzlement, three cases of buying, receiving or possessing stolen property, six cases of vandalism, one case of sex offenses, four cases of drug violations, four cases of offenses against family, five cases of driving under the influence, one case of public intoxication, two cases of runaways, one case of reckless driving and eight cases of hit-and-run.
