VIDEO: Wakefield students show off science projects

Monday, Jan. 27 | By Hannah Dellinger
Fauquier County students are invigorated to explore science, because of the upcoming Fauquier County Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

The Wakefield School’s middle and high school science fair kicked off on Monday in the school gym. The top winners of the science fair will be eligible to enter Fauquier’s first regional science fair.

“We’re very excited that this year, there’s a Fauquier County Regional Science Fair,” said Dr. Julianne Clifford, a Wakefield science teacher. “We’ve actually tried to use that as a selling point with our kids to get them even more excited about doing this project with the idea that our top winners from our school will then be eligible to compete at the county level and if they do very well at the county level, up to regionals etcetera.”
