Fire and rescue crews have cleared the highway south of Warrenton after a Monday morning tractor-trailer wreck snarled traffic for two hours.
At about 7 a.m., the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office reported a tractor-trailer had overturned in the southbound lane of U.S. Route 29 near Lovers Lane.
The truck, which was carrying bags of compost and soil, spilled its cargo onto the roadway, according to a release from the Virginia Department of Transportation. Crews have now offloaded the cargo and removed the truck from the roadway, and all travel lanes have been reopened.
