If you’re like me, most of your jewelry is tangled up in a junk drawer somewhere.

That’s why I decided to find an inexpensive way to display my hoard of long-forgotten jewelry. I put together directions to make three different types of jewelry holders that anyone can make in about 15 minutes. You can get creative and modify these ideas to your liking.

What you need:
A tree branch
Some kind of container, like a jar or a vase
Rocks or terrarium glass stones

How to make it:
Fill the container to the top with the stones.
Place the branch in the container and move the stones around to help prop it up.
Hang your necklaces, bracelets and earrings all over the branch.

Ring Display

What you need:
A potpourri dish or something similar
Terrarium glass stones

How to make it:
Fill the dish with the stones.
Arrange your rings or pins in the dish to your liking.

Necklace and Earring Rack

What you need:
A thin slab of wood
A metal backing to hang on a nail
Metal screw-in hooks
A length of lace ribbon
Push-in decorative nails

How to make it:

Attach the metal backing to the backside of the wood slab.
Screw in the hooks at the bottom of the wood on the front side.
Cut the lace to fit across the wood horizontally.
Pin the lace to the wood with the push-in nails.
Hang your necklaces on the bottom hooks and attach your earrings to the lace ribbon.

Other ideas:
Use a two-tiered cake stand to arrange your jewels. You can places necklaces and bracelets on the plates and hang hook earrings along the edge of the plate.

Screw-in neat vintage dresser knobs to a painted piece of wood. Attach a metal backing to the wood and hang it on your wall. You can hang necklaces and bracelets from the knobs.

Attach a towel rack to your wall and place metal shower curtain hooks on the rack. You can hang necklaces and bracelets on the hooks.

Use decorative glass bottles to hold bracelets and watches. For a fun and trendy look, try spray-painting old wine bottles any color you like to use as bracelet holders.
