The Highland Hawks suffered their first loss of the boys soccer season Friday, falling to Trinity Christian, 3-1, on the road in Fairfax.
Trinity Christian scored a pair of goals early in the first half and the Hawks (1-1 overall, 0-1 Delaney Athletic Conference) couldn’t recover.
“We just didn't come out mentally ready to play in the first half,” Highland coach Reynolds Oare said. “We came out second half and tried our best to play our game. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.”
Junior Ward Van de Water scored the Hawks’ lone goal on a free kick.
