The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering up to $25,000 for informaton leading to the arrest of two men who allegedly tried to kidnap a letter carrier
on Wilson Road last month.
According to a mail flyer distributed by the post office, the alleged assault happened at the intersection of Chimney Oaks Court and Wilson Road.
"A vehicle was involved and described as a dark blue or black, older-style SUV, similar in appearance to a Bronco or Ramcharger," said post office inspectors in the release.
The release describes the first suspect as a very tan white man, 35 to 40 years old, six feet tall with a skinny build, with short, dark hair going to gray, wearing a handlebar mustache with a "soul patch." At the time, he was wearing a dirty white T-shrit and blue jeans.
The release had no identifying marks for the second suspect.
The post office urged the public to take no action to apprehend the suspects on their own. Instead, anyone with information should call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-887-876-2455 and select "option 2" in the phone menu. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
