Old Dominion Electric Cooperative makes donation to Pierce Elementary

Tuesday, Feb. 11 | By Contributed article
Pierce Elementary School has benefited once again from the generosity of the Old Dominion Electric Cooperative Marsh Run Power Station.

Plant manager, Richard Evans, visited the school Feb. 5 to present Principal Dr. Christie Wolfe and Assistant Principal Karyn Spahr with a check for $1,000 to be used for educational purposes.

ODEC allocates funds each year to be used by each of its power station facilities for worthwhile projects in the communities in which they operate.

The school plans to use the funds for technology.

Headquartered in Glen Allen, ODEC is a not-for-profit wholesale provider of electric generation and transmission services to 11 member distribution cooperatives.
