Fauquier competition cheer wins invite
The Fauquier Falcons won the Warren County Invitational Cheer Competition on Thursday in Front Royal.
Fauquier scored 194 points to win the six-team event handily. Runner-up Central finished with a score of 181.
The Falcons won thanks to zero deductions in a flawless routine.
“Very challenging to do,” Falcons coach Ashlynn Foster said. “We were nervous how the competition was going to go because the girls did not hit their stunts during warm ups.
“It was such a rewarding feeling that our girls pulled it together after a rough warm-up,” she said. “It was an amazing experience seeing the joy on everyone's faces.”
