NWS warns of more snow for Fauquier
WARRENTON - The National Weather Service is calling for another snow storm.
Less than two weeks after the last storm, which dumped about a foot of snow onto county roads and cut power to about 10,000 customers in the county, the NWS is calling for another 4-8 inches at high elevations starting Sunday afternoon. AccuWeather's forecast for Warrenton is less dire, predicting 1-2 inches of snow before changing to rain.
According to the NWS, the snow will start to accumulate on the Blue Ridge Mountains this afternoon, then spread over the lower altitudes in the evening. The snow will fall heaviest overnight, impeding road traffic.
