With runner-up finishes in seven events, the Fauquier boys won the Conference 22 track and field meet championship Thursday at Eastern View High in Culpeper.

The Falcons finished with 166 points while runner-up Liberty had 105 despite winning four events. The King George girls won with 191 points to Fauquier's 179 second-place points, while Liberty placed fourth with 40.

Fauquier's Tyler Benson won the 400 (50.21 seconds) while Donavin Thompson won the 300 hurdles (39.05) and the Falcons' 1,600 relay team won in 3 minutes, 26.58 seconds.

Placing second for the Fauquier boys were Raul Chavez in the 800 (1:59.73) and 1,600 (4:40.22), Dustin Constantino in the 3,200 (10:19.62), Thompson in the 110 hurdles (15.49), Austin Allen in the pole vault (11 feet), Michael Lewis in the long jump (20 feet, 7.50 inches), Marcus Campbell in the triple jump (40-4.5) and the 400 relay team (44.35).

Winning for the Liberty boys were Anthony Spagnoletti in the 100 (10.87), long jump (21-5.75) and triple jump (42-11), and Danny Collins in the 1,600 (4:29.34). Placing second were Spagnoletti in the 200 (21.91), Eric Stiggle in the 110 hurdles (15.49) and Michael Fairfax in the 300 hurdles (40.11).

For the Fauquier girls, Tiana Yates won the 100 (12.78) and 200 (26.08), Addison Manor won the 100 hurdles (15.43) and 300 hurdles (47.97), Dominique Johnson won the shot put (36-5.50) and discus (95-4) and the Falcons' 400 relay team won in 50.90.

Placing second were Madison Martin in the 400 (1:02.29) and 800 (5:17.90), Shayne Halligan in the 3,200 (12:17.93), Katie Crofford in the 300 hurdles (49.40), Diamond Robinson in the high jump (4-10), and long jump (15-6.25), Unique London in the shot put (34-9) and the Falcons' 1,600 relay team (4:13.56).

For the Liberty girls, Taylor Brown finished second in the 800 (2:24.09) and 1,600 (5:17.90).
