The Wakefield Owls swept the Jefferson boys tennis team, 7-0, Monday on the road in Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.

The Owls lost only eight games in the seven matches, led by an 8-0 win by No. 2 singles player Will Driskill.

"Another great day," Wakefield coach Simon Sjogren said.

No. 1 Gabe Himelfarb won, 8-2, while No. 3 Henry Ohrstrom won, 8-4, No. 4 Connor Mulvey won, 8-2, and No. 5 Harwood Wolfson won, 8-2.

In doubles action, Himelfarb and Driskill won, 8-1, at No. 1, and Wolfson and Mulvey won, 8-3, at No.2.

Fauquier girls tennis 9, King George 0

The Fauquier Falcons swept another Conference 22 opponent Monday by beating the King George girls tennis team, 9-0, at home in Warrenton.

The Falcons improved their record to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference, while they're also 2-0 in the Evergreen District.

No. 5 singles player Kelley Violett led Fauquier with a 10-0 win, while No. 1 Isabelle Wessel won, 10-2, No. 2 Mackenzie Rollins won, 10-2, No. 3 Eliane Zalewski-Williams won, 10-3, No. 4 Micensie Barrett won, 10-2, and No. 6 Megan Magalhaes won, 10-3.

In doubles play, Wessel and Rollins won, 10-6, at No. 1, while Barrett and Violett won, 10-3, at No. 2, and Zalewski-Williams and Allison Cherundolo won, 10-5, at No. 3.

Kettle Run boys lacrosse 14, John Champe 4

Tate Donaldson and Morgan Ledden combined for 11 assists Monday to lead the Kettle Run Cougars to a 14-4 win over the John Champe boys lacrosse team on the road in Aldie.

Donaldson had six assists and four goals to help Kettle Run improve its record to 2-0, while Ledden had five assists and two goals. Jackson Wilie added three goals, while Tyler Jones had two and Soctt Dodge had one.
