Kiana Smith’s 2nd triple double this week leads Liberty girls over Brentsville, 46-24

For the second time this week, Kiana Smith recorded a triple double for the Liberty Eagles, and Thursday it translated into victory.

The 6-foot-5 senior had 12 points, 19 rebounds and 14 blocks during Liberty’s 46-24 win over the Brentsville Tigers at home in Bealeton.

Previously, on Monday, Smith had 19 points, 14 rebounds and 12 blocks against Courtland, but the Eagles lost in overtime, 54-47. Liberty now has a 12-5 record overall and a 4-4 mark in Conference 22.

Against Brentsville, India Turner led the Eagles with 17 points on 8-for-12 shooting, while Lizzy Berger had six points, nine rebounds and two assists, and Ashley Lane had six points, two assists and two steals.

Smith, in addition to her triple double, had four steals and two assists.
