The Wakefield Owls got their sixth consecutive win Thursday by beating Madeira, 49-39, on the road in McLean.

After leading 28-18 at halftime, the Owls (11-3 record) went on a 15-2 run in the third quarter to take a 43-20 lead.

Airielle Jenkins led Wakefield with 16 points, four assists and four steals, while Autumn Sanders had 12 points, four steals and two assists. Shelby Sipes added nine points, three steals and four rebounds, while Naomi Mutombo had 10 rebounds and Jenkins had five.
