Firefighters need your help!

Thursday, Feb. 13 | By Julie Taylor
The significant snow fall just experienced is sure to cause delays for all services over the next few days. We are reminding citizens and residents to help the fire department by clearing around your local fire hydrant. Seconds count in an emergency, and by ensuring the hydrants are easily accessible and visible, firefighters will be able to use the hydrant(s) more efficiently. Please also ensure access is made so first responders can access buildings and property quickly for an emergency, according to a Warrenton Volunteer Fire Company Press Release.

If you notice a hydrant that has been knocked down and/or damaged due to snow removal (or at anytime), please contact the Town of Warrenton Public Works at 540.347.6574 or Fauquier County WSA at 540.349.2092 depending on the location of the hydrant.
