Fauquier crime log for Feb. 10 to 16

Destruction of property:

On Feb. 10, the door jamb of a home was broken into and left open in the 5600 block of Enon School Road in Marshall. Loss is estimated at $200. The homeowner believes their large dog prevented further damage, according to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office.

On Feb. 14, a vehicle window was broken by an unknown object while in transit in the 6800 block of Maplewood Drive in Bealeton. Loss is estimated at $1,000.

On Feb. 15, a school soccer field in the 7300 block of Academic Avenue in Nokesville sustained damage from "unauthorized vehicle use." Loss is estimated at $500. Investigation continues.

Larcenies:

On Feb. 10, an unattended backpack containing clothes and medication left was stolen outside a home in the 7200 block of Moss Lane in Warrenton. Loss is estimated at $142.

On Feb. 12, a mailed check was intercepted and cashed by an unauthorized suspect in the 700 clock of Christiana Trace in Catlett. A loss of $1,894.40 was reported. Investigation continues.

On Feb. 14, a victim's check card was used fraudulently in the 7100 block of Westmoreland Drive in Warrenton. A loss of $2,600 was reported. Investigation continues.
