Fauquier County wants Comcast users to sound off at public hearings

Thursday, Jun. 26 | By Staff
Fauquier County officials will hold a series of public hearings to seek input on the performance of Comcast Cable, which holds the only County cable franchise. The County’s existing franchise agreement with Comcast is due to expire in December 2016 and the County is now entering its statutory negotiation period.

"As the Board of Supervisors wishes to pursue a competitive process, the County is seeking input from residents on all facets of Comcast’s performance," said Katie Heritage, deputy county administrator, in a news release.

The first public hearing will take place on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m in the Board chambers located at 10 Hotel Street in Warrenton.
