The Fauquier Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that it will relocate next month to offices at 98 Alexandria Pike in Warrenton.
Chamber Treasurer Ray Knott and board member Trey Austin of Austin Realty Management Inc. researched available facilities for almost a year, and the group's board agreed unanimously to lease terms early last month.
The chamber will move furnishings and equipment during much of June and plans to open the new digs July 1.
"It is time for us to have a space where every square foot can be well used to achieve our organizational goals," Knott said in a prepared statement. "The new office space offers a much brighter environment, full of natural light. We’ll also have two large conference rooms that can be used simultaneously for meetings for our membership and board members."
Chamber Board Chairman Lynne Richman Bell said that a new space with a new layout was necessary to meet the business group's growing membership and activity needs.
"This is a great step towards our organizational future," Bell said in announcing the move.
Chamber President and CEO Joe Martin said the new location allows for more parking and will have outdoor space available for activities such as cookouts.
"The facility also is much closer to Old Town Warrenton," Martin said in a prepared statement. "Folks will see a lot more of us here!”
