Friday, Mar. 21 | By Julie Taylor
Around 12:15 p.m. there was an accident on Route 28 near Dumfries Road involving three vehicles which shut down both lanes of traffic.

According to 1st Sgt. Les Tyler Virginia State Police, James Schrock, 56, was headed south on 28 driving a 1998 Chrysler van. He came upon slowed traffic, and incidentally rear ended Julie Stapleton, 59, who was in a 2013 sedan. Stapleton was pushed off the road into the ditch on the right hand side of the road.

Schrocks van continued forward, hitting into the back of another sedan, driven by Connie Rollins, 46.

Stapleton was transported to Fauquier Hospital. Rollins was transported to Prince William Hospital. Schrock was charged with following too closely, according to Tyler.
