The Wakefield Owls rebounded from their first loss this boys basketball season to beat Trinity Christian, 61-57, Wednesday at home in The Plains.
The Owls improved their record to 3-1 after losing Saturday to Christchurch, 80-56, during the Life & Breath Tip Off Showcase.
Against Trinity, DeAndre Clark led Wakefield with 23 points on 10-for-18 shooting, including 3-for-6 on 3-pointers. Brandon Wiseman added 19 points on 9-for-14 shooting, while Wil Rasmussen had 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting.

The Wakefield Owls remain unbeaten after defeating the Trinity Christian girls basketball team, 41-34, Wednesday on the road in Fairfax.
The Owls improved to 4-0 thanks to 14 points and five assists by Alexis Smith.
Naomi Mutombo added eight points and seven rebounds, while Juliana Parra had five points, Airielle Jenkins had four steals and Maddie Dale had three blocks. Finishing with two steals each were Dale, Mutombo and Autumn Sanders.
The Owls used a 17-2 run in the second quarter to rally from a 9-6 deficit at the end of the first.
