A father-and-son musical duo want to raise money to fight cancer this weekend.
Juan-Ramon Crespo, his son Juan-Gabriel Crespo, and their friends form 3G Music, an international fusion jazz group. On Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m., they'll perform at Lord Fairfax Community College.
Admission is $5. Proceeds will go to the Children's Cancer Foundation, Crespo said in a news release. 3G are hoping to raise $5,000 for the cancer foundation this weekend.
"Childhood cancer does not discriminate between social or economic status, gender or ethnic group. The average age for a child to die from cancer is eight years old. We want to raise enough money to use for the research and cure of this invasive illness," Crespo said.
