The Highland Hawks beat Shenandoah Valley Christian, 8-1, Saturday at home in Warrenton to win their fourth baseball game in five days.

Junior pitcher Tyler Zimmerman got the complete game victory by allowing one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven innings.

Offensively for Highland (4-0 overall, 2-0 Delaney Athletic Conference), senior Donnie Mayer went 2-for-2 with 3 RBIs, including a two-out, two-RBI double in the bottom of the third inning that helped the Hawks pull away. Senior Chris Ross added three runs and an RBI on 2-for-3 hitting.
