The Highland Hawks lost a doubleheader to the Christchurch baseball team on the road Saturday, ending their undefeated start to the season.

The Hawks (5-2) lost the first game, 4-2, despite out-hitting Christchurch, and then fell, 12-1, in the second game.

In Game One, Highland had eight hits to Christchurch’s two, but it allowed four unearned runs on two errors. Pitcher J.P. Graham took the loss after allowing two unearned runs on three walks and a hit.

Shane Buss took the loss in Game Two with nine earned runs on seven hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out four.

Highland scored its lone run on a home run by Mark Terrell, who finished the day with three RBIs and a double on 3-for-5 hitting. Timmy Stephan went 2-for-4.
