Search for New Chief Underway
The search for a new Department of Emergency Services chief is well under way, according to Deputy County Administrator Katie Heritage.County officials began the process after former DFES Chief Philip Myer resigned last month.
Myer did not give specific reasons for his resignation other than to say he planned to pursue other options. He was employed by the county for about 17 years.
