A Stafford County man was killed in a single-vehicle accident that occurred early Friday morning, police said.

Virginia State Police Sgt. Les Tyler said the wreck happened on Brent Town Road just north of Courthouse Road at approximately 5:45 a.m.

Ryan K. Kistler, 23, was driving a 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck when it went off the right side of the road, Tyler said. He apparently over corrected, causing the vehicle's passenger side to hit a tree.

The passenger, Keven Robert Kistler, 50, died as the result of injuries sustained in the crash, Tyler said.

Ryan Kistler, who was also injured, was reportedly transported to Fauquier Hospital by EMS personnel.

Three Charged in Alleged Home Invasion

Three people were arrested and charged after they allegedly broke into a Bealeton home .

Lt. Colonel Paul Mercer of the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office said the arrests stemmed from an incident that occurred on Blake Lane in Bealeton early Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to the address for a report of a robbery there. The victim claimed a group of people entered the residence armed with a firearm, Mercer said.

The suspects allegedly left the residence with an undetermined amount of money and other items. Deputies caught them in the Bealeton area a short time later.

Donald Jose Hitt, 26, of Warrenton and Rashaud Whitfield, 18, of Bealeton, were both charged with burglary and robbery, Mercer said. Both are currently being held in the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center without bond.

A 16-year-old was also charged and is currently being held in a juvenile detention center in Loudoun without bond.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are anticipated.

Alleged Forgery Reported

The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office received a report of alleged forgery and the attempted use or display of checks June 5.

Police records indicate a complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to make the report. The estimated loss in the case is $3,584. An investigation is ongoing.

Larceny Investigated

A larceny that reportedly occurred in the 11000 block of Crest Lane June 7 remains under investigation.

According to police records, a caller reported the theft of two Zebco fishing rods, a tackle box with fishing items and two gas cans containing gasoline. The estimated loss in the case is $571.

Minor Injuries Reported in Wreck

Two people sustained minor injuries in a two-car crash June 2, police said.

According to a Fauquier County deputy's report, the crash happened in the area of Lee Highway (U.S. 29) and Dumfries Road at approximately 11:50 a.m.

Wayne Tyrel Ruhlman, 24, of Palmyra, Va., was driving a 2004 Kenworth W-90 when he allegedly failed to slow down as he approached a traffic signal. He then ran into the back of a 2003 KIA Reo driven by Jay T. Swecker, 62, of Boonsboro, Md., police said.

The impact caused Swecker's vehicle to leave the roadway, where it hit an embankment and overturned before coming to rest on its roof.

A juvenile passenger in Ruhlman's truck was hurt but not transported to the hospital by EMS personnel, according to the report.

Swecker, who did not have any visible signs of injury, complained of pain or momentary loss of consciousness and was taken to the hospital.

Ruhlman was charged with following too closely.
