Supervisors Create New Business Advisory Panel

He hopes the new panel will pool and maximize Fauquier's public- and private-sector economic development resources.

"You've got a lot of different people looking at different things," said Supervisor Terry Nyhous (Center District).

Established last Thursday by the supervisors, the Business Advisory Committee seeks to harness that, said Nyhous, who probably will serve on the panel.

About 20 people representing business groups across Fauquier, county government, the school system and independent government authorities will be asked to serve on the committee.

Two supervisors, probably including Nyhous, will serve as non-voting members.

Board of supervisors Chairman Holder Trumbo (Scott District) will make committee appointments.
