Economy Makes Fundraising An Increasingly Tough Task
The warm weather's finally here and that can only mean one thing: It's time for charity golf tournaments.
Over the next few months, dozens of organizations will host events. At least two will be held in our area within the next couple of weeks.
A Tee Off “Fore Education” to benefit BEACON for Adult Literacy will be held at the Prince William Golf Course on May 7. The 15th Annual CYO Golf Classic to benefit St. John's Catholic Youth Organization Sports programs in Warrenton will be held at Virginia Oaks Golf Club May 11.
Since staging one can be an expensive and time-consuming undertaking, organizers of both tournaments provided some tips to help other organizations get the most out of future golf benefits.
