Malik, Sharpe make May 2009 plans

Steven and Kathryn Malik of Nokesville recently announced the engagement of their daughter, Christie M. Malik of Centreville, to Joseph Philip Sharpe of Reston. His parents are Judith Sharpe of Charlottesville and Philip and Diane Sharpe of Fairfax Station.

The bride-to-be attended American University and is employed in the Office of Public Affairs at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Washington, D.C.

The future groom earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from Longwood University, graduating Alpha Kappa Delta, the sociology honor society. He works at SRI Consulting in Washington, D.C.

Plans are being made for a May 2009 wedding in Jamaica.
