Overlook gets high marks in accreditation survey

State inspections are routine occurrences at the Warrenton Overlook Health and Rehabilitation Center.

According to Overlook administrator Sandie Scott, the state inspections are conducted annually. They are done in order to ensure that the organization is abiding by all of the rules and regulations necessary to keep its license and certifications.

But this March, a survey team from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities also visited the center. During its three-day visit, the assessors interviewed various "stakeholders" including the medical director, patients and staff.

The survey team also reviewed countless documents in order to make sure the center meets and adheres to specific standards of care.
