New Baltimore: Support the Relay for Life
Happy Memorial Day to my friends and neighbors. This coming weekend kicks off the beginning of the summer season. Pools will be open, so if the temperature decides to be summer-like, enjoy the weekend at the pool. Please remember our brave service men and women who fight to keep America the land of the free.
For the next three weeks, parents with school-age children will be busy with year-end school picnics, spring concerts, award ceremonies and graduations.
With the wet spring, youth sports are scrambling to fit in missed games, so that the season can end before families begin taking their summer vacations.
Teachers will be happy when all the SOLs are completed, so that they, too, can wind up the academic year and enjoy the last few weeks with this year's group of students.
This year's Relay for Life in Fauquier County will take place the last weekend in May at Fauquier High School.
If you have not yet sponsored a team, you may wish to find one and give to the American Cancer Society. Cancer research is so important in helping to find a cure for this deadly disease. Please give today.
Happy birthday to Justin Green, Alyson Breeding, Jamie Rose, Brenton Doyle and Sarah Russell.
Please call or e-mail me with your news.
