Destruction of property
A caller from the 11000 block of Marsh Road in Bealeton reported destruction of property to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office May 5.
The complainant said someone used a key to scratch a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire. The estimated loss is $1,500.
Fraud investigated
Fauquier County detectives are investigating a fraud reported to the Sheriff's Office May 5.
Deputies received the call from someone in the 7000 block of Covingtons Corner Road in Bealeton. The caller said the fraud somehow involved the electric company. The estimated loss is more than $692.
Larceny from motor vehicle
Someone from Bealeton reported items stolen from a motor vehicle May 5.
According to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, the call came from the 6500 block of Balls Mill Road. The caller said that power and hand tools had been taken from the vehicle. The estimated loss is $5,681.
An investigation continues.
Burglaries reported
The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office received two reports of burglaries last week.
The agency's records show that the incidents happened May 6 and May 9. The first one happened in the 4200 block of Pickett Street in The Plains.
Someone from the 11000 block of Remington Road in Bealeton reported the second incident May 9.
The estimated loss was undetermined in each case.
Larcenies
Callers from Warrenton and Marshall reported larcenies to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office May 7.
In the first case, someone from the 9700 block of Foxville Road in Warrenton told deputies 14 golf clubs and shoes had been stolen. The items were reportedly worth $1,630.
Someone from the 8300 block of Glenmore Lane, Marshall, informed deputies that two Stihl trimmers had been stolen. The tools are worth approximately $1,100.
An investigation continues.
Motorcycle wreck
A Quantico man was injured when the motorcycle he was on hit another vehicle head-on.
According to a Fauquier County deputy's accident report, the incident happened in the area of Bristersburg Road and Catlett Road at approximately 3:15 p.m. May 5.
Earl W. McFadden was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson when he approached a railroad crossing from the east. He allegedly lost control of the motorcycle while crossing the tracks and went into the lane of oncoming traffic.
McFadden's motorcycle collided with a 1998 GMC Jimmy driven by Wayne Leroy Herrell of Warrenton, according to the report.
McFadden was transported to the hospital by helicopter.
Four injured in crash
Four people were hurt in a two-car crash near Remington May 8.
An accident report taken by a Fauquier County deputy shows the wreck happened in the area of North James Madison Street and East Bowen Street at approximately 2:50 p.m.
A 16-year-old Nokesville girl was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe west on East Bowen Street, and Carl F. Fiorello II, 31, of Fairfax was driving a 2005 Nissan Titan north on North James Madison Street.
The teen-age driver did not stop at the stop sign before going into the intersection, according to the report. As she entered the intersection, Fiorello hit the Tahoe in the driver's side door. The Tahoe then overturned on its right side, according to the report.
Only one person was transported to the hospital.
The Nokesville teen was reportedly charged with failure to yield the right of way and disregarding a stop sign.
Warrenton man hurt in wreck
James Allen Reid, 58, of Warrenton, was hurt in a car crash on the Eastern Bypass May 9, police said.
An accident report taken by a Fauquier County deputy shows the wreck happened near Meetze Road at approximately 3:40 p.m. Reid, who was driving a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck, was slowing down because traffic was backed up on the bypass.
Meanwhile, Lillian Margaret Gaither, 18, of King George, was driving 55 mph and following Reid's vehicle too closely, according to the report. She was unable to stop and hit Reid's car from behind.
Gaither was reportedly charged with following another vehicle too closely.
Driver unknown in hit-and-run crash
A Winchester woman was reportedly injured when a car she was riding in May 10 hit a tree head-on.
The accident happened in the 2000 block of Winchester Road near Pleasantvale Road at approximately 1:24 a.m.
According to a Fauquier County deputy's report, the crash happened when a 2003 Nissan sedan driven by an unknown person went off the left side of Winchester Road and up a bank. The car then hit the tree head-on.
The woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle said the driver fled the scene because he had been drinking, according to the report. She did not provide a name.
The woman was reportedly transported to the hospital by EMS personnel.
