Man accused of threatening judge arrested

A man who allegedly threatened a local judge has been arrested and charged with the offense.

Robert Lavelle, 56. was arrested April 24. Lavelle, who has no fixed address, was charged with a felony count of making a threat in writing, a misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice and a misdemeanor count of using a computer to make a threat, according to Maj. Paul Mercer of the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office .

The arrest reportedly stemmed from a month-long investigation of e-mails sent to the judge.
