Rally Day May 18 at Beulah Baptist

Everyone's invited when Beulah Baptist Church in Markham hosts its annual Rally Day on Sunday, May 18. The morning service will be preached by the pastor-elect, the Rev. Douglas Gore.

Dinner will follow the morning service.

The afternoon service will be preached by the Rev. William H. Gibbs of Antioch Baptist Church of Deanwood in Washington, D.C.

Free concert May 16

It's time for "Spring Jam," featuring a free concert by the recording rock band "Brandishing Steel" currently on tour performing songs from their new CD.

Doors will open at Liberty Community Church in Bealeton at 7 p.m.

Enjoy the benefit of relaxing in the bistro-like atmosphere while sipping fresh coffee and enjoying a light snack from the snack bar. Special guest May 18 at Mount Olive Baptist

The church family of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Rectortown invite everyone to join them for their annual Officers Day Service. The Rev. Gerald Bryant, pastor of Chantilly Baptist church in Chantilly will be the speaker at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18.

Lunch will be served prior to the service.

Rising Zion plans special events

The church family of Rising Zion Baptist Church invite everyone to join them for two special Saturdays in May.

On May 17, the Praise Band Choir of the church will be celebrating its anniversary at 3 p.m., when the Soulsters of Brandywine, Md., will be the guests.

Then on May 31, the church will be hosting a ladies-only tea at 1 p.m., sponsored by Sister Lydia Garner, the pastor's wife. All ladies are invited.
