Over 200 Calls Run: Brandon Bobst, 223; David Carter, 248; Allen Nalls, 229; Teddy Saunders, 229; and Adam Simpson, 200.

Over 300 Calls Run: John Richards, 371.

Most Calls Run: Jimmy Campbell Jr., 375.

Each year, the department gives out the R..P. Glascock Award, which is for a firefighter who has gone above and beyond to help the community and the department. David Carter received this award.

Congratulations to all of you, and thank you. If you're out and about and see one of these guys, give them a pat on the back for a job well done.

On April 28, Richard and Stacy Nalls welcomed their second daughter, Jessica Leigh Nalls, who weighed in at 8 pounds, 11 ounces. Big sister Katrina also welcomed her new sister with open arms. Congratulations.

Birthdays to celebrate this week: Katrina Nalls, Charles "Dugar" Clegg, Joe Delisi, Robin Gill and Ernie Bugg. A special 50th birthday wish to Russell Campbell. Happy birthday and best wishes everyone.

Quote of the week: "It takes a certain kind of person to be willing to knowingly jeopardize their own life to help someone they don't even know. In that time of emergency, the firemen, police and everyday people going down the street became heroes." — Don Reed
