The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Lineweaver of Warrenton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Joseph Alliman of Wayland, Iowa. She received a bachelor of arts degree in American government from the University of Virginia. In 2003, she earned a master of social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is employed by Arlington County government as an infant development specialist.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Motisi of Delray Beach, Fla.; Mrs. C. Rosser Massey of Fredericksburg and the late C. Rosser Massey Jr.; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Garnett E. Branscome. In 1999, he received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Randolph-Macon College.
