Highland girls roll in season opener

The Highland School girls soccer team cruised to a season-opening 4-0 win over visiting Fredericksburg Academy on Wednesday afternoon.

Freshman Caitlin Howard scored twice early in the first half - her first two varsity goals - off passes from Sallie Griffin. Senior Emily Dale then made it 3-0 before the break, also off a Griffin feed.

Dale struck again early in the fourth, beating Fredericksburg's keeper between the legs for the final count.
