On March 11, deputies responded to the second report. A caller from the 4200 block of Lee Highway, Warrenton related that a Kubota rotary tiller and floor jack were taken, police said. The estimated loss in the case is $1,550.

Fauquier County detectives are investigating the thefts of three ATVs, police said.

Information provided by the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office indicates that someone from the 8600 block of Bastable Mill Road, Catlett, reported the theft of a Honda Rancher TRX 350 on March 11. It is worth $6,500.

Someone from the 6200 block of Vint Hill Road, Warrenton, reported the theft of a 2002 Honda 300 EX ATV March 12, according to police. The estimated loss is $2,800.

Fauquier deputies received another report of a stolen ATV on March 14. In that case, police said a caller from the 4200 block of Moonlight Court, Warrenton, reported the theft of 2007 Rincon. It was worth about $7,500, police said.

Money stolen

The theft of approximately $5,400 remained under investigation early this week.

According to police records, a caller from the 6400 block of Beales Court in Bealeton reported the incident to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office on March 11. The money was apparently taken that day.

Teen injured in crash

A 15-year-old New Baltimore girl was injured in a car crash March 14, police said.

A Fauquier County deputy's report indicates the crash happened on a private road near Broad Run Church Road shortly after 7 p.m. Police said the 15-year-old, who does not have a license due to her age, was driving north on Culver Drive when she apparently lost control of a 1999 Volvo. The car went off the left side of the road and hit a tree, according to the report.

The driver and a passenger were both transported to the hospital by EMS personnel, police said.

Troopers conduct seat belt project

State Troopers assigned to the Area 12 Office in Warrenton recently conducted an "occupant restraint" project.

According to Sgt. Charlie Crummett, the troopers were out in force for four hours on March 15. They concentrated their enforcement efforts on Route 28, which is known as one of the most treacherous roads in the county, Crummett explained.

In all, they issued 45 tickets during the four-hour period.

Teen injured in fall from motor scooter

An 18-year-old Woodbridge girl was reportedly taken to the hospital by EMS personnel after she was involved in a motor scooter accident March 16.

In an accident report, a Fauquier County deputy said the accident happened on Rogues Road near Ringwood Road at approximately 5:13 p.m. Erica Jewel Faucette was riding a 2005 Matrix south on Rogues Road and was trying to make a left turn onto Ringwood Road when she apparently hit some loose sand and gravel in the intersection. She lost control and "slid off the scooter" into the road, police said.

Faucette was not charged in connection with the incident.
