Linden volunteers get FEMA funding

The Federal Emergency Management Agency [FEMA] has announced that the Linden Volunteer Fire Company was among several Virginia fire departments to get funding through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

Linden firefighters serve some residents in western Fauquier County, and received $50,217 for unspecified operations and safety.

In all, the Virginia fire departments received $798,486 in grant funding. Nationally, FEMA awarded more than $18 million in AGF funds in the most recent round of funding.
