Foul play suspected in death
A death in the 5200 block of Free State Road in Marshall which was reported to the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office on Sunday remains under investigation.According to Maj. Greg Mauck of the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, investigators are treating the matter as a homicide.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin, Mauck said. Until the notification is made, he is also unable to discuss any further details of the case.
However, documents filed in Fauquier County Circuit Court show that investigators requested and obtained a search warrant for the premises and vehicles on Sunday evening.
A search inventory and return form filed in circuit court on Monday shows that investigators seized numerous items, including acupuncture home-therapy supplies and miscellaneous supplements.
A computer and miscellaneous documents from the house and a vehicle on the property were confiscated, as well.
