Ross dominates in Liberty win
At the start of a critical week for Liberty boys basketball, junior Stefawn Ross made sure the Eagles got off on the right foot.
Ross scored a career-high 37 points on Tuesday night and added 16 rebounds as Liberty won at Osbourn, 84-70. The Liberty center hit on 16-of-20 shots from the floor, including one stretch where he sank 10 straight.
The Eagles improved to 6-3 in the district, joining Loudoun Valley and Culpeper just a loss behind first-place Osbourn. They host Valley tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Liberty's girls also won on Tuesday, squeaking out a 54-49 win at Osbourn. LHS has now won five straight games and will go for six at 6 p.m. tonight against Valley, also in Bealeton.
