Wakefield nipped in VIS tournament debut

The Wakefield boys basketball team did itself proud on Tuesday night during the school's first ever Virginia Independent Schools tournament game. Unfortunately, the 12th-seeded Owls fell just short at No. 5 Tidewater, 47-45.

Wakefield finishes its season with an 18-11 overall record.

Tidewater will play at Stonebridge School on Thursday.
