Seniors lead Hawks to first DAC tourney win
Tim Hoerner and Shawn Porter combined for 36 points in their final high school game to lead Highland past Wakefield, 65-52 in the DAC Tournament championship game. It was Highland's first-ever DAC tourney win.
Hoerner, the school's all-time leading scorer, posted 11 in the first quarter and finished with 22 overall.
Highland led 19-10 after the opening frame and never relinquished the lead.
Wakefield's season will continue tomorrow in the VIS Division III tournament at Tidewater Academy.
