Fauquier, Liberty hoops postponed again
And the drama continues to build...
The Cedar Run District boys basketball title has come down to the last day of the season. Now the tricky part is figuring out which day that actually will be. For the second consecutive evening, weather postponed the district's hoops schedule - pushing the dramatic final games, tentatively, to Thursday.
If Osbourn Park defeats Culpeper or Liberty's boys lose to Battlefield tomorrow night, playoffs will begin Friday as scheduled. Should Liberty and Culpeper win, a three-way tie for first place would force two additional games to be added - likely Friday/Saturday.
On the girls side, assuming the regular season concludes Thursday, the first round of the district postseason will play on Friday night.
