Parker promises quick Costco ruling

Fauquier Circuit Court Judge Jeff Parker expects to decide the Costco lawsuit in about a week.
The three-day hearing on the proposed 148,000-square-foot store near New Baltimore ended last Friday afternoon.

Filed by James Rohr, who lives less than half a mile from the planned store site, the suit claims that the previous county board of supervisors had violated Fauquier’s zoning ordinance and comprehensive plan in approving the planned store.

Does anyone, certainly not me, really think Costco and their tax revenue-generating potential will be denied admission into the storied ranks (ha!) Fauquier businesses? Come On.

If we are to be against anything "Costco" it should be the consumer gluttony that it fosters, not traffic.
