Busy weekend for Fout, stateside and in the east. The Far East.

NEW KENT COUNTY – Talk about splitting your attention: trainer Doug Fout headed south from The Plains Saturday to saddle a pair of winners at the Strawberry Hill Races, sending out Matt McCarron to victory aboard Sussex County and G'Day G'Day. Another van shipped north from his Coosaw Stable to deliver Erin Go Bragh for a winning effort at My Lady's Manor in Maryland (though the horse was removed from first to second for interference over the last fence.)
Sunday Fout shipped a few miles north to Leesburg for the Loudoun Hunt Point-to-Point (third-placed maiden New Point) before heading home to pack. He outfitted Orison and assistant Sarah Kuhn for their trip west to Keeneland for Thursday's $150,000 Royal Chase hurdle stakes.
And then, and only then, could he concentrate on his own packing – Monday morning, Fout headed west. Way west, to Toyko to join assistant trainer James Piper who was already in Japan with Gliding getting ready for the April 19 $1.5 million Grand Jump.
It's amazing Fout can keep it all straight.
